About Me
I am a computational physicist, mathematician, and curious mind. I am a postdoctoral research candidate at SISSA in Trieste, Italy since February 2023. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at IGFAE at USC Santiago de Compostela, Spain from November 2020 until February 2023. I completed my PhD at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
My research focuses on gravitational wave data analysis, specifically on rates and population studies of binary black holes in the universe. I also work on the PyGRB search, a modeled search for gravitational waves involving coincident gamma-ray detections. I developed a code for hybridizing numerical relativity and post-Newtonian waveforms for precessing binary black holes. During my PhD, I acquired skills in numerical relativity simulation of binary black holes and developed methods to test the accuracy of analytical spacetime for binary black holes.
Astronomy fascinates me because it connects us to the vastness of the universe and fuels my curiosity and inspiration. Every day, I look forward to exploring the breathtaking images on Astronomy Picture of the Day APOD, which continually ignites my passion for the cosmos.
